Just a few quick pictures from the NAF Atsugi Spring Festival. The base is opened to the public and offers static displays of aircrafts as well as games and food vendors. It was quite the day!
Our Fearless Pilot!
Tim's squadron used to wear red flight suits on Fridays. However, they were outlawed shortly after we arrived.

Hello Kitty
The Japanese love Hello Kitty. Somehow, a Hello Kitty costume has been passed down. The children can't resist!
I went a little heavy on the Tim photos just to keep his face fresh in your memory!
Love this! For some reason, not all your photographs loaded, but I got the general idea. I love Japanese porcelain, especially the Imari porcelain. Do you like Japanese tea? Can't wait to see you in just a few days! When you speak to Tim, please pass on my fondest regards. Love you two the most. K
ReplyDeleteKay you always beat me to comments - you are so on the ball. Do you open the blogs in the blogspot or only on your phone or in email? Sometimes they don't show unless I am in the blog.
ReplyDeleteLove love love this post - great photos - how funny that opening the base is such a spectacle for the residents. I'm sure it's entertaining to be sought after!. Great pictures of Tim and I'm so glad you added at least one of you. What amazing drums - I would love to hear them. Do you have a kimono? Are you learning the tea ceremony too. The tea cup is much bigger than it was in my mind. I knew Hello Kitty used to be popular, but didn't realize it still was. Who got to wear the Hello Kitty head. This is one I'll revisit regularly. Thank you.
